Product Observations:

This information is based on our experience working with laminate flooring since Pergo was first introduced to this country in 1995.

The Warranty Game: It's hard to believe after 24 years in this business, but consuners still buy flooring based on price. Manufacturers, while they won't admit it, know this and create or match warranties just to get their products into the market. That's why you'll see "cheap" laminate flooring with a 10 or 15 year (or more) warranty that will never hold up. Your floor is the most abused item in your home! You walk, stomp, run, drop, spill, and generally mistreat it. You want the best product you can afford - Not the "Cheapest"! And that means you need a flooring company and manufacturer that will be there to stand behind the product.

Quality:

• Armstrong, Wilsonart, Advanta One, & Columbia have thus far proved to be more consistent products from the standpoint of quality control, i.e. free of manufacturing defects on an cumulative order basis.
• Armstrong Beyond with Armalock™ (interlocking, resin-impregnated core) has exceeded my expectations from the standpoint of moisture resistance - which is the number 1 problem that affects laminate flooring.
• Armstrong, Wilsonart, Advanta One, & Columbia have full laminate backings for stability.
  

Installation:

• Armstrong, Wilsonart, Advanta One, & Columbia consistently fit together more smoothly, due to the quality of the high-density fiberboard core. We've also had great success with Pergo Select, with it's new interlocking core.
• At Carpet One we are very picky about our installers. They have to be pleasant-mannered, and have the ability and concern to do the little extra things that make the difference in the finished product. Because we care about them as people, and pay them better than other stores, you will have a pleasant installation experience.

Warranties That Mean Something:

• Armstrong Laminates for Life, Armstrong Beyond & Beyond with Armalock™, Wilsonart, & Advanta One have the Carpet One exclusive (up to) 120-day satisfaction warranty - if you change your mind about the color, we'll replace the flooring at no charge - including labor! It's the total "feel secure" warranty.
• Armstrong Laminates for Life has a "Lifetime" warranty for Stains, Fading, Wear, and Moisture.
• Armstrong Beyond & Beyond with Armalock™ have a 25-year warranty for Stains, Fading, and Wear. Armalock™ also offers a 25-year Moisture Warranty.
  Warranty-Warning: It is so easy to be mislead by a few partial facts, especially when it comes to the new "glueless" laminate products. Take note that the new "Moisture" warranties require that you wipe up the spills "immediately". At Carpet One Flooring Gallery we believe that every seam should sealed to avoid any potential problems. This takes more time and costs a bit more, but worth it in the long run.
