Even though this is kind of a "testimonial" page - it's really not my intent to pat ourselves on the back. Over the years I have noticed that with very little effort we have been able to solve some peoples flooring problems all over the country (and even a few other countries).
Remember how it feels when you're lost & need directions, or stuck with some kind of problem and someone is kind enough to try to help you? It feels good - so when the opportunity arises why not take a moment to help someone. And that's my proselytizing for today.
This internet technology is so rewarding - Here are just a couple of examples of how Carpet One's national network has been able to assist others, ususally with very little effort on our part.

| March 2002: Amy & John F. in Tennessee needed some discontinued
Laminate Flooring for a repair in their home. They couldn't find it anywhere
& wrote to me. I placed a request on our national members website and in a couple of weeks another member wrote that he had the material in stock. I contacted my customer, we sold and shipped the material - Amy & John were elated. |
April 2002: "Michael, the Imagen arrived this afternoon! Thank-you so much for your help in finding it for us. It's nice to know that there are still people in this world who are willing to take time out of their busy schedules to help others. We do appreciate your kindness! Amy & John F." |
| April 2002: A couple in Maine was trying to get carpet replaced
and needed a rubber transition strip to end the carpet at a vinyl floor.
The "carpet company" they were buying from said they didn't know
where to get the strip (almost unbelievable) & they could'nt get anyone
to help them - they were frustrated, & wanted to know if she could buy
one from me. I wrote back and told her how to find an installation supply company in her area. She did and found it easily and here's her response: |
April 2002: "I want to thank you VERY,VERY much to leading me in the right direction where everyone else shrugged it off. I did just what you said and went into the yellow pages and I found a carpet layers equipment and supplies store and I called them yesterday and my husband went over today and picked it up. The carpet people in Maine called me today so I could order the carpet and I told them I found the rubber stripping and they asked me how I did it and I told them a NICE gentleman from Miami, Fla., no less, steered me in the right direction. The guy kept saying how happy he was that I found it--- I just laughed at him. I told everyone at work my story and anyone else that wanted to listen. Thank you again, Sue" |
